Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and information generated as you use the app:

• Account information: your name, email address and profile picture when you sign in with Google, Apple or email.
• Learning data: your chosen course, level, lesson progress, answers, scores, streaks and other in-app activity.
• Voice data: audio you record during speaking exercises and AI conversations, used to evaluate pronunciation and respond to you.
• Content you scan: text recognised from documents or photos you choose to turn into lessons. Text recognition runs on your device.
• Social data: your display name, avatar, friends, groups and Arena or league results, which may be visible to other learners.
• Purchase information: subscription status and transaction identifiers from the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card details.
• Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, language, crash reports and anonymous analytics events.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and personalise your lessons, evaluate your speaking, power AI conversations, sync your progress across devices, run social features, process subscriptions, send notifications you have enabled, keep the service secure, and understand how to improve Say Right.

Microphone and AI processing

Say Right uses your microphone only when you start a speaking exercise or conversation. Your speech and conversation text are sent to our servers and to trusted AI and speech-processing providers solely to transcribe, evaluate and respond to you. We do not use your recordings for advertising, and we do not sell them.

Children

Say Right is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Say Right — such as cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting and payment processing — and only to the extent they need it to provide their services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of TopApps, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Say Right. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings; we then delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and review our safeguards regularly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app, or by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
